Mile Zero Alaska Highway

I was born in Roseburg, Oregon. Following the construction down the gold coast of California my parents settled in the beautiful Poinsettias City of San Buenaventura in the early sixties.

Ventura Pointsetia

As Ventura stretches out along the California coast, the ocean had a great influence over me. Surfing at the age of 12 and spending days at the beach with good friends are good memories of my childhood.

I took an interest in off road motorcycles and began racing motocross throughout southern california. Joined the Carpenters Union at the age of 18.

In 1980 I moved to Dawson Creek British Columbia Canada to expend my beekeeping hobby and by the end of the summer I decided to stay and purchased a large honey producing operation.
I returned to Ventura in the late 80's with my two children Ian and Rae and went back to working as a carpenter. Sailing became a part of my life at an early age and upon my return I decided to pursue this interest by taking sailing classes. Ventura coast
